Travelling to Hanover
This German city is a surprising fusion of industry and nature. It boasts many gardens, lakes and rivers. The city is also famous for its long-standing and dynamic artistic heritage.
It's well worth going for stroll in the city's old quarter, where you can pop into one of many traditional taverns, browse around the small local shops and visit the medieval city hall. When visiting Hannover, you just need to follow the red line painted along the street and which guides you around the most interesting monuments.
Hannover is also renowned for its street art, its summer festivals and its international fairs. And don't go home without visiting Lake Maschee or Herrenhausen, the most important Baroque formal gardens in all of Europe.
