Vueling inaugurates the link Stockholm- Barcelona this summer
The inaugural flight will take off on March 25th, 2012.
Tickets are already available on all Vueling’s channels from 50€.
The route will offer 4 weekly frequencies and more than 45.000 seats.
Barcelona, April 20th 2012. –Vueling, the new generation Spanish airline, has announced the starting of its operations in Sweden with the launch of the route between Stockholm and Barcelona for the coming summer season. The new connection will serve the needs of both business and leisure passengers thanks to the frequency of flights, its fantastic value fares, and its premium services, such as theDuo Seat, specially meeting the business passenger’s needs, or the iPhone application, offering passengers flight booking, check-in and seat selection facilities.
The inaugural flight will take off from the Swedish city on March 25th, 2012, and will operate 4 times a week departing from Stockholm-Arlanda Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays; and offering more than 65.000 seats. Vueling will operate these flights with an Airbus A320, with a capacity of 180 seats. Tickets, with fares starting from 50€, are already available on www.vueling.com, through travel agencies, Vueling’s iPhone application, mobile portal m.vueling.com,and Call Centre (+34 931 518 158) 8-24 h.
In addition, Swedish passengers can fly to a wide range of other destinations such as Malaga, Tenerife, Bilbao, Balearic Islands and much more, thanks to the connections program that Vueling offers via El Prat airport. Through this program, Vueling, with 29% of market share at the Barcelona airport, is turning Catalonia into the main hub for international flights offering a total of 73 connections via Barcelona. The company carried near a million of connecting passengers during the first year of the program (January-September).
Vueling is carrying out an international growth strategy consisting in expanding to new countries and adding new international cities to its network targeting both popular and underserved markets in Europe and Stockholm is the first city that Vueling flies to in Sweden, a new market for the Spanish airline.
