Advance Passenger Information (API)

For flights from the UK, or flights to Europe from a country outside the Schengen territory, it is compulsory to fill out the API document (Advanced Passenger Information). This information is required by the governments of these countries before starting a journey.

Residents of the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands and Ceuta

Currently, residency status is validated during the purchase process by sending the information directly to the Ministry of Development. Any passengers who fail to prove that they are a resident during the booking process must do so at the check-in desk or at the boarding gate. To that end, they will have to present a valid civil registration document issued by their local town council or accreditation from the corresponding Chambers certifying constituency as an elected MP or Senator. Please note that any passenger who fails to prove their residency status will not be allowed to fly.

A travel document or passport will suffice as proof of ID, but not as proof of residency, and VUELING is entitled to make copies of the documentation provided and to refuse to allow the passenger to board if the company detects any deficiency or anomaly.

Large family

Before boarding, you must present the original or certified copy of their Large Family Certificate attesting to your status as a member thereof, issued by the Regional Government.

Travellers who have lost their documentation

Original report presented to the Police or Competent Authority. Only for national flights or for travellers returning to their country (Schengen State). Passengers flying to other destinations must contact their country's embassy.
