Hand luggage

Your hand luggage is what you can take on the plane with you, providing it does not weigh more than 10 kg and is no larger than 55x40x20 cm.

Remember, regulations at the boarding gate are very strict. If the size or weight of your luggage exceed the permitted limits, you'll have to pay a charge of €35 per bag each way.

Excellence Fare

Only Excellence fare allows you to take hand luggage weighing up to 14 kg, and you’ll have guaranteed space on board.

With "My hobbies" special luggage insurance, your special luggage will be covered in the event of theft or loss.

(Conditions)

A. Vueling permits the following special luggage on board upon payment of an additional fee of which the Passenger will be notified:

1. Skiing equipment:

In the context of transport, the composition of snow or water skiing equipment is defined as including:

-A pair of skis, a pair of poles, a pair of boots, or a monoski board.

-A pair of standard size water skis or a slalom water ski.

This equipment may only be carried in the plane's cargo hold and must be adequately arranged and secured so that they do not cause problems or damage during boarding, carriage and exiting.

2. Golf equipment: Golf equipment is defined as including a bag that contains a pair of golf shoes along with the corresponding clubs for playing said sport and whose weight does not exceed 15 Kg. The golf clubs must be secured inside the bag so as not to cause problems or damage during boarding, carriage and exiting.

3. Bicycles: When they are to be checked in, they must be folded, with the handlebars secured to the sides, pedals removed and wheels deflated and correctly packed.

4. Surfing, windsurfing and kite boarding equipment: Surfing equipment is comprised exclusively of a board. Windsurfing equipment is comprised of a board, boom, luff, mast and sail. Kite boarding equipment is comprised of a board and a kite.

B. All requests to carry any of the sports equipment mentioned in the above section must be made at the time of booking, or through our Call Centre at least 24 hours before departure. All equipment must be adequately arranged and packed. It must also be secured so as to prevent any damage to it and avoid problems or damage during boarding, carriage and exiting. Vueling will not be liable for any damage to special equipment, unless the Passenger proves there was negligence on the part of the Company.

C. Due to its characteristics, which mean such equipment cannot normally be carried on luggage conveyor belts, the Passenger must arrive in sufficient time in order to check in the aforementioned sports items. Company personnel may use their own criteria to decide whether it is necessary to use a special system to facilitate carriage of this equipment from the check-in area to the plane. Any expenses this may incur will be paid by the Passenger.

D. Such sport equipment will be checked in as excess baggage, regardless of the luggage allowance to which the Passenger is entitled. Regardless of the true weight of the equipment, the following table shows the standard established weights:

1. Windsurfing equipment 35 Kgs. Surf board 23 Kgs.
2. Other components (sail, etc.) 15 Kgs.
3. Kite boarding equipment 23 kgs.

E. In all cases, except upon express authorisation from Vueling, only one set of the cited sport equipment per Passenger can be accepted for carriage.

F. Depending on the volume, characteristics and weight of certain items, Vueling can refuse carriage of any of the aforementioned items or, alternatively and if it were possible at the company's criteria, carry them on other flights at an additional cost, all in accordance with the limitations of load and stability of the aircraft and, fundamentally, the safety of the flight.

Includes:

Theft or loss of luggage: up to €600.
Tracing and locating luggage.
Loss and theft of passport: up to €300.
Delay in handing over of luggage: up to €300.
