  1. What is check-in online?
    1. Online check-in is the way to get your boarding pass via our website or your mobile, so you won't have to go to the check-in desk to get your boarding pass on the day of departure.
  2. How can I get my boarding pass?
    1. When you check in online, you can say how you wish to get your boarding card:

      • Printed: You'll receive your boarding pass in PDF format and you'll just have to print it out and present it at the airport on the day of departure.
      • On your mobile: You can receive your boarding pass via an SMS on your mobile, and that is all you need to go to the boarding gate.
      • On the App for iPhone and Android: You can download your boarding pass onto the App and that is all you need to go to the boarding gate.

      You can also get your boarding pass at the check-in desk on the day of your flight.

  3. What is Click&Fly?
    1. If you book the Optima or Excellence Fares, check-in will be instant. Once you've completed your booking, you'll receive an email containing confirmation of your purchase and then another email containing your boarding passes.

      This service is available for most Vueling airports (if it's not available at your airport, you must go to the check-in desk on the day of your flight to get your boarding card). In the case of connecting flights, you will also receive an email with your boarding passes, providing the airports of origin and stop-over allow this.

  4. What information do I need to check in online for my booking?
    1. To check in online you need to know the booking code and the airport for your outbound or return flight (you can provide either). The booking code is your flight locator and is sent to you in the confirmation email you receive once you have made your booking.

  5. Can I ask for a new boarding pass?
    1. You can visit the online check-in page on our website and get your boarding pass as many times as necessary: The boarding pass includes the seats you have chosen for your booking, so if you decide to change your seats after making the booking, you can get an updated boarding pass with the new seats.
  6. What do I have to do at the airport if I've already checked in online?
    1. If you have checked baggage:

      If you have already checked in online for your flight and you're travelling with checked baggage, you must go the check-in desk with your luggage to get the baggage receipt, from where you can go directly to the security check. At some airports, such as Madrid and Barcelona, there is a special check-in desk for passengers who have checked in online and need to check in luggage, so the process will be much quicker. Don't forget that must be at the airport in sufficient time to the check in your baggage:

      The check-in desks open 2 and a half hours before departure and close 40 minutes before departure, except at the following airports:

      • All flights from Rome (Fiumicino) and St. Petersburg, where the check-in desks close 45 minutes before departure.
      • For all flights from Tel Aviv, Beirut, Algiers and Oran the check-in desks open 3 hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.
      • If you're travelling from Paris (Orly) to Casablanca, the check-in desks close 60 minutes before departure.
      • If you're travelling from Barcelona to Tel Aviv, the check-in desks close 60 minutes before departure.

      If you're travelling with hand baggage but no luggage:

      In this case you can go directly to the security check and then to the boarding gate without having to go to the check-in desk.

      Don't forget you must be at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before departure.

      If you're travelling with hand luggage, remember it can weigh no more than 10 kg or be larger than 55x40x20 cm.

  7. If I check in online, can I board without having to go to the check-in desk first?
    1. Yes, providing you have no bags to check in, you can go directly to the security check and then to the boarding gate.

      Don't forget that if you have to check in a bag, so you must go to the check-in desk in sufficient time:

      The check-in desks open 2 and a half hours before departure and close 40 minutes before departure, except at the following airports:

      • All flights from Rome (Fiumicino) and St. Petersburg, where the check-in desks close 45 minutes before departure.
      • For all flights from Tel Aviv, Beirut, Algiers and Oran the check-in desks open 3 hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.
      • If you're travelling from Paris (Orly) to Casablanca, the check-in desks close 60 minutes before departure.
      • If you're travelling from Barcelona to Tel Aviv, the check-in desks close 60 minutes before departure.

      At some airports, such as Madrid and Barcelona, there is a special check-in desk for passengers who have checked in online and need to check in luggage, so the process will be much quicker.

  8. Can I check in online for all airports where Vueling operates?
    1. If you wish to check whether your airport allows online check-in, select your departure and destination airport and we'll show you detailed information:

      Most airports we fly to allow online check-in, but there are certain airport which do not have this service available. Also, some airports allow you to travel with proof of online check-in printed out or on your mobile phone. Select the departure and destination airport and we'll show you more detailed information:

  9. What's the difference between having online check-in printed out or on my mobile?
    1. When you check in online, you can choose how you wish to get your boarding pass:

      - Print out the boarding pass on your computer: just select the option to receive your boarding pass in PDF format to print it out and present it on the day of departure. Don't forget to take your printed boarding pass with you to show at the security check and at the boarding gate.

      - Get your boarding pass on your mobile: you save paper and have all the necessary information to fly on your mobile. This service is available when flying from A Coruña, Amsterdam, Alicante, Almeria, Asturias (Oviedo), Barcelona, Bilbao, Brussels, Burdeaux, Dusseldorf, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Granada, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Lyon, London (Heathrow), Madrid, Malaga, Malta, Majorca, Marseilles, Menorca, Milan, Pamplona, Paris (Orly), Rome, San Sebastian, Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Seville, Stockholm, Sttutgart, Tenerife North, Tenerife South, Valladolid, Venice, Luxembourg, Nice, Cardiff, Frankfurt, Dortmund, Munich, Prague, Toulouse, Berlin, Lille, London (Gatwick), Hamburg, Palermo, Turin, Bologna, Vienna, Naples, Catania, Copenhagen, Lisbon, Oporto, Leipzig, Dresden, Nuremberg, La Palma, Jerez, Hannover, Florence, Nantes and Vigo to any Vueling destination (providing your destination airport allows it).

      You can get your boarding pass on your mobile by SMS via our website or mobile portal, or you can directly download your boarding pass onto our iPhone and Android Apps.

      With your boarding pass, you can go straight to the security check and boarding gate. Don't forget you must be at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before departure.

  10. How can I get my boarding pass if I cannot check in online?
    1. If your destination airport does not allow online check-in or if the passenger conditions (unaccompanied minor, travelling with a baby or a pet, passengers with reduced mobility or special needs) impede you from checking in online, you will have to get your boarding pass at the Vueling check-in desk on the day of your flight.

      Don't forget you must be at the check-in desk in sufficient time. The check-in desks open 2 and a half hours before departure and close 40 minutes before departure, except at the following airports:

      • All flights from Rome (Fiumicino) and St. Petersburg, where the check-in desks close 45 minutes before departure.
      • For all flights from Tel Aviv, Beirut, Algiers and Oran the check-in desks open 3 hours before departure and close 60 minutes before departure.
      • If you're travelling from Paris (Orly) to Casablanca, the check-in desks close 60 minutes before departure.
      • If you're travelling from Barcelona to Tel Aviv, the check-in desks close 60 minutes before departure.
  11. Is there a time limit for checking in online?
    1. You can check in online from the moment you buy your flight and up to 4 hours before departure (except if you're flying from Lisbon, Cardiff, Lyon, Prague, Frankfurt or London Heathrow, which only allow you to check in online up to 24 hours before departure).

      Don't forget that to be able to check in you must choose a seat. You can choose one at no extra cost from 7 days before your flight.

      If the airport and specific passenger conditions allow, check-in will be instant upon purchase of your flight under the Optima Fare and the Excellence Fare, and you'll receive an email containing your boarding passes.

  12. What passengers with special needs cannot check in online?
    1. Unaccompanied minors (UM), passengers travelling with a baby, persons with reduced mobility, passengers suffering from blindness or mental disabilities must go to the check-in desk to get their boarding pass. For this reason, they cannot check in online in advance.

  13. Can I check in online if I'm travelling with a baby?
    1. At this time, it is not possible to check in online if you're travelling with a baby. To get your boarding pass, just go to the check-in desk on the day of your flight.

      Don't forget that on the day of departure you must go to the check-in desk in sufficient time to get your boarding pass.

  14. Can I check in online if I'm travelling with a pet?
    1. If you're travelling with a pet, you cannot check in online or choose your seat when booking your flight. You must go to the check-in desk on the day of your flight so we can allocate you a suitable seat for travelling with your pet.

      Don't forget that on the day of departure you must go to the check-in desk in sufficient time to get your boarding pass.

  15. Why do I have to fill in the Advanced Passenger Information (API) before checking in online?
    1. The UK and Spanish governments require this passenger information in advance, which is why you must provide it before you can get your boarding pass.

      If you're flying from Spain to the UK, or if you're flying to Spain from a non-Schengen country, it is compulsory to fill out the Advanced Passenger Information (API).

  16. Can unaccompanied minors (UM) check in online?
    1. Online check-in is not possible in this case as minors must be accompanied (by the person stated as their companion on the form) to the check-in desks, where they must present the Unaccompanied Minor Service form. There, the necessary steps will be taken to ensure that the minor arrives at his or her destination. The minor will also be allocated the most suitable seat for their in-flight care.

      Don't forget that on the day of departure you must go to the check-in desk in sufficient time to get your boarding pass. The check-in desks open 2 and a half hours before departure and close 40 minutes before departure, except at the following airports:

  17. Can I check in a minor online?
    1. Yes, minors can be checked in online, providing they are accompanied by an adult, and at the airports where it's allowed, except for:

      • At all Italian airports, where online check-in is not permitted for under 18s.
      • Unaccompanied minors (UM).
      • Adults travelling with a baby cannot check in online.

      In these cases you must go to the check-in desk in sufficient time to get the boarding passes.
