Palazzo of the Capulet family

Do you want to see the real setting for Romeo and Juliet? Here you have the Casa di Giulietta, a neo-Gothic style building remodelled in 1940. According to Shakespeare’s play, the lovers whispered from its balcony.

Romeo’s house or Casa Montecchi

This is one of Verona’s most beautiful Medieval buildings. It is very close to the Casa di Giulietta, but you can only see it from the outside as it is a private residence. More than anything it is a curiosity.

Piazza delle Erbe

Nowadays, this square hosts an original market. It is surrounded by exquisite monuments and interest spots, such as the Palazzo Maffei, the Gardello and dei Lambertini towers, the lookout, etc.

Piazza dei Signori

This small square also covets numerous architectural surprises, such as the Domus Nova, the Loggia del Consiglio, the Palazzo degli Scaligeri and the Palazzo del Capitano. Harder to find is the Gothic staircase in two sections, known as the Scala Della Ragione.
