Don't miss... in Praga

Pragur Castle (Prazsky hrad)

Prague castle was built in 870 and is kept in a perfect state of preservation. Between the walls circling the castle, other buildings have been erected: a palace, three churches, a monastery, etc. Its location on the Vltava river gave it a highly important strategic value historically.

Old town (Staré Město)

In the centre of Prague, you’ll find the old town. Its Baroque buildings and its stone facades give it an almost Medieval air. It’s now a great zone for going out at night and discovering good restaurants.

Jewish quarter (Josefov)

In the northern part of Stare Mesto was the Jewish quarter. Its roots go back to Medieval times and are truly amazing. Its buildings are in neo-Renaissance, neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau styles, with decorations on all facades. This area boasts synagogues and other symbols of the Jewish people.

Lesser quarter (Malá Strana)

This Bohemian neighbourhood attracts creative souls from poets and writers to musicians and artists. Its narrow Mediaeval streets are magnificent, offering an intensely romantic atmosphere.

State theatre

This theatre is famous because Mozart first presented his opera Don Giovanni here in 1787. It is currently used for ballet and opera. In Prague theatres it is customary to see black light theatre, characterised by black light and sound effects. You really shouldn’t miss one of these shows!
