Our efficient operation design allows on average 80 hours flying with just 120 duty hours , giving our pilots the opportunity to enjoy 11 days off every month (not including stand by), which is among the best in European airlines.
3.
Fixed Roster Pattern of 5 - 3 / 5 – 4 from 1 st of January ‘07 NEW!
Currently, Vueling Pilots enjoy a stable 5 on - 3 off roster pattern comprised of a week of early shifts followed by a week of late shifts. From 1 st of January ‘07 the roster pattern will be 5 on 3 off- 5 on 4 off.
This offers our Pilots an ability to plan their time off . Rosters are published 4 weeks in advance.
4.
Home every night
At Vueling you will start and end your day at your base: Barcelona or Madrid . We do not plan overnights. We believe this contributes for a stable quality of life for Vueling Pilots!
5.
Fast Track Career Progression
The Fast Track Career within Vueling is based on individual performance and not on seniority lists.
First Officers with more than 5,000 total hours and 500 hours on type can apply for a Fast Track Captain position after 3 months flying as a Vueling First Officer.
Others First Officers can expect to enter the Captain Evaluation Process within the first 2-3 years in Vueling. There is a strong culture of promoting within the company.
With our scheduled aircraft deliveries and expansion plans line training/TRI's and TRE's Captains positions are highly valued within the Company. In that sense, transparent payment levels have been established to reward the commitment shown by our Captains.
