Airport de Rome

Rome's airport - Fiumicino or Leonardo da Vinci, its more recent name, is located 32 km Southwest of the Italian capital. It takes approximately 45 minutes to arrive by car. By taxi, it usually costs 40-50 euros. Another option is to travel into Rome by train or bus. A direct non-stop train connects the airport to the Termini station in Rome. This train leaves every fifteen minutes every day. The trip takes about 35 minutes and costs 8.80 euros. A train line for the area, FM1, runs from Fiumicino to the Tiburtina station, costing 2.27 euros. The buses run between Fiumicino and the metro stations Magliana and Lepanto and the Tiburtina Rome station.

Nearly all of the stores in Rome open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Many stores do not open until after lunch on Mondays.
